    Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS),

    often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal chord. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.

    Documenting the story of Mariah Gladis, a 33-year survivor of Lou Gehrig’s Disease and world renowned psychotherapist - taking viewers on an inspirational journey of extreme courage in the face of life and death. In 1981, Mariah was given a 10% chance of surviving the next two years. She is currently one of the longest documented cases of ALS in the world.

    Coleman Gladis is a film and television director living in Los Angeles. He has worked in the production of feature films and television shows, from AMC's Mad Men to ABC's The Bachelor.
